Gidju murra: Weaving & Art for Small HandsGidju murra is an interactive weaving, collage and creativity workshop for children and families. Gidju Murra means ‘small hands’ in Muruwarri language. Families with young children are invited to play creatively with Indigenous weaving techniques while using a variety of art materials.
The activity will introduce participants to the artist’s weaving techniques while thinking about themes of place, Country and nature to create a vibrant and personal weaving artwork. |
Wirambi: Make a BatWirambi: Make a Bat is an interactive bat-making art workshop for kids and families. Participants are invited to play creatively with collage, textiles, and a variety of sculptural techniques to make a unique Flying Fox artwork. The children will be guided by the artist to make their very own bats that they can take home with them or add to a collaborative display.
